| With just a few major mainstream media organisations controlling a massive amount of news saturation globally, we believe that independent new media/news websites must begin to play a more central role in our daily dialogue, for us to begin to look honestly at our World, our politics and our societies. Because, only after acknowledging past/current errors, can we begin to shape a much fairer World, and we believe that the mainstream media is just not doing its job in that sense. |

| Whilst there is a substantial need for community-written wiki's and news feeds, we believe that there is a much more pressing need for small independent news/new media organisations like Blatant Independent Media!, which write and edit in-house, and which have no affiliations. |

| We operate as a profit-free project, with 100% of our income currently derived from adverts placed throughout our websites (mostly Google Adsense right now), plus donations. |
