What a year it's been!
We officially launched BlatantWorld.com on January 1st 2010 because we felt that there was a need for such a website. Back then, all of the documentary websites which were online appeared to add any videos they came across, without concern for their subject matter, and any facts & figures websites which were in existence were just carbon copy's of the CIA Yearbook - an often inaccurate publication. So, we set about building a website which would deal with many important news-worthy issues, through facts & figures and educational videos alone, with the emphasis on the issues themselves.
We began with about 60 Documentaries, and during the year we expanded our video collection to also include Speeches, Video Clips and Political Satire. The website now has a total of almost 400 videos, most of which are feature-length, and our growing Facts & Figures database now includes data from dozens of relative sources. In total, including videos and the facts & figures datasets, there are currently almost 1,000 pages of content on the website, all of which relate to issues of importance to us humans, to other living things, and to our environment.
End of year growth spurt...
After developing the website itself over the first eight months of 2010, whilst putting together a decent collection of the correct types of videos and facts & figures at the same time, the natural growth of visitor numbers went up a notch from September. In fact, even after taking into account the natural drop in visitors which almost all websites encounter, due to the Christmas shopping and festive periods, we ended up in December with a new visitor coming to the website in less than every 4 minutes.

Onwards and upwards...
In the year ahead we will be adding plenty more facts & figures, and videos, across our usual broad spectrum of issues, and we will also be developing our Global Issues section in order to give visitors easy access to all featured material relating to particular issues of global importance. We have also launched the Fairocracy.com website, in an attempt to design a political system that is really democratic, fair, understandable and that works!
We want to wish all our visitors the best of luck for the year ahead, and we hope that many of you keep coming back to see what we are up to. Whilst it is exciting to see our figures rising, the main benefit of this rise in our opinion, is that we are now reaching more and more people, with highly important information. A big thank you to all those who have been spreading the word, and of course, to all those who have put huge amounts of time and effort into producing the facts & figures and videos which we feature. Their work is obviously invaluable to many people around the World, and should be featured much more prominently, and in full, throughout our mainstream media.
